The story so far...

I have had a lifelong love affair with both jazz music and photography, and in 2003 came to the decision that it would be a reasonable idea to combine the two, and in 2006 I launched a website to showcase my work. During lockdown in 2020 I added a blog and a jazz podcast to the site; the podcast is no longer running but copies of all the episodes are available so please see the relevant blog post.

In 2021 I re-located to Huddersfield in West Yorkshire and in the autumn of 2022 I took on a role as photo editor, designer and producer at Jazz In Britain; in January 2023 I was appointed as a Director of the company. This role now takes up most of my time, hence the decision to stop producing the podcast. The blog  now features album and concert reviews and in 2024 I became a contributor to UK Jazz News.

Sadly I no longer have time to maintain the photography website, hence my decision to close that down and concentrate on the blog from now on.

Over the years I have made many great friends in the jazz community and I would like to give special thanks to everyone at Manchester and Marsden Jazz Festivals, Wakefield Jazz, Jazz Leeds and Sheffield Jazz, Hazel Miller at Ogun Records, Sebastian Scotney and his team at UK Jazz News and, of course, John Thurlow at Jazz In Britain.
